L’artista tatuatore Rocco Buono è nato e cresciuto a Montescaglioso,un paesino della Basilicata, il più piccolo di due figli di madre parrucchiera e padre coltivatore diretto, che gli hanno sempre insegnato una forte etica del lavoro che si riflette fortemente tutt ’oggi.
Di grande influenza fu il nonno Rocco Padula, pittore, scultore, artista di grande talento amato e stimato da tutta la comunità che insegnò al nipotino sin da tenera età l’arte in tutte le sue forme(dal duro lavoro della progettazione ed esecuzione alla soddisfazione di ammirare l’opera terminata), questa “old school” fu fondamentale nella formazione dell’ormai adolescente Rocco che cominciò a disegnare e dipingere opere sempre più personali e che col passare del tempo si orientavano sempre di più alla ricerca di qualcosa di nuovo ed estremo.
Dopo aver frequentato un anno di liceo artistico, influenzato da una vocazione che ha sempre sentito innata ,si avvicina all’arte del tatuaggio, cominciando dapprima a testare e sperimentare su se stesso questa pratica che negli anni 80/90 era considerata di “nicchia” e non perfettamente ben vista, e in un secondo momento ebbe l’occasione di creare semplici tattoo per amici e compagni ,( di fondamentale importanza senza i quali non avrebbe avuto occasione di formarsi).
Deciso ormai maggiorenne che la sua strada sarebbe stata quella del tattoo, comincia un lungo percorso di ricerca sperimentazione apprendimento e costante esercitazione che l’hanno portato a viaggiare tanto e a conoscere tanti artisti che come lui vivevano l’arte del tattoo come una vocazione, ispirato quindi dai consigli dei nuovi amici e dai veterani del genere, afferma sempre più la sua idea che prende sempre più posto nella sua anima.
E’ per lui di fondamentale importanza la conoscenza di Giusi Caivano, sua compagna di vita, sostenitrice, suo braccio destro che l’ha sempre fiancheggiato e aiutato nel bene e nel male.
Deciso a rendere questa sua passione un lavoro, nonostante la generale contrariazione della gente, decide di trasferirsi a Gravina in Puglia, pronto a realizzare il suo sogno, aprire un tattoo studio.
Finalmente nel 2008 dopo aver superato innumerevoli difficoltà, supportato da amici e parenti, inaugura il DERMAL ART TATTOO STUDIO che ha tanto immaginato nel corso degli anni.
Negli anni successivi ha l’occasione di dedicarsi interamente al suo amato lavoro con forte passione e serenità, che aumenta con l’arrivo di due splendidi bambini nella quale ripone tutto il suo amore e speranza che possano coltivare gli stessi insegnamenti che ha appreso dalle persone care e non e che possano quindi continuare a portare avanti il suo sogno di vita.

The tattoo artist Rocco Buono was born and raised in Montescaglioso, a village of Basilicata, the smallest of two sons of his mother hairdresser and his father direct cultivator, who have always taught him a strong ethics of work that is strongly reflected today.
Of great influence it was the grandfather Rocco Padula, painter, sculptor, artist of great beloved talent and estimated by the whole community who taught the grandson from the tender age in all its forms (from the hard work of the design and execution to satisfaction to admire the opera terminated), this “Old School” was fundamental in the formation of the Teenager Rocco’s formation that began to draw and paint more and more personal works and that over time they became more and more looking for something new and extreme.
After attending a year of artistic high school, influenced by a vocation that has always felt innate, approaches the art of tattoo, first beginning to test and experience this practice that in the 80s/90 was considered to be “niche” And not perfectly seen, and at a later time he had the opportunity to create simple tattoos for friends and companions, (of fundamental importance without which he would not have the opportunity to form).
Now always decided that his way would be that of the tattoo, begins a long journey of research experimentation learning and constant exercise that led him to travel so much and to meet many artists who lived the art of tattoo as a vocation, inspired So from the advice of new friends and veterans like that, it increasingly affirms his idea that takes more and more place in his soul.
It is for him of fundamental importance the knowledge of Giusi Caivano, his life companion, supporter, his right arm that he has always flanked him and helped for better or for worse.
Decided to make this passion for a job, despite the general contrast of people, decides to move to Gravina in Puglia, ready to realize the dream of him, open a study tattoo.
Finally in 2008 after passing countless difficulties, supported by friends and relatives, he inaugurates the Dermal Art Tattoo Study that he has so imagined over the years.
In the following years he has the opportunity to devote himself entirely to his beloved work with a strong passion and serenity, which increases with the arrival of two splendid children in which he puts all his love and hope that they can cultivate the same teachings he learned from people Care and not and that they can then continue to carry out his dream of life.
