Established in 1999.
NYHC Tattoo is the brainchild of two of the most influential Lower East Side musicians. Vinnie Stigma of Agnostic Front and Jimmy Gestapo of Murphys Law. This legendary landmark opened in 1999 and has been a staple in the hardcore community for over 10 years.
In early 2010 Jimmy and Vinnie added three new partners to the mix. Lars Frederiksen of the punk band Rancid, along with Albany icons, Mike Valente and Tragedy.
In 2015 Nick Caruso and Mike Maney took over the shop and in 2017 passed the mantle to Mark Harada. Mark is currently laboring to maintain the shop’s cult status with Sweety, Miykey, Jeremy Miller and young Dean “curtains” Violante. Plus friends and various guest artist from around the globe.
