Red Baron Ink was founded by Grant Lubbock in Summer 2012, shortly he met his wife Giselle Azcona and they took on the role of newlyweds and business partners March 2nd, 2013. Many people thought we were crazy, but our madness is what keeps us going and pushing forward against all odds. As a couple and business partners, we come from completely different worlds.
Grant was born and raised in Southern California with the ocean as his playground and an extremely crafty family. While Giselle was born and raised in NYC’s Washington Height, with immigrant parents from the Dominican Republic, chasing after the American Dream. Our diverse backgrounds reflect within the awesome group of artist that have joined our team.
Our journey growing the business to where it is, today has been an interesting one and we wouldn’t change a thing. What started as a one-man show has now grown to two locations in Manhattan’s East and West Village composed of 15 artists within both locations.
At Red Baron Ink we are a true melting pot, we have a diverse crowd with artists from all over the world, ranging from Saint Lucia to China. We believe that our differences unite us and we share one common goal of creating awesome art and even better tattoos. Our main goal is for each tattoo coming out of our studios to be one of a kind custom pieces that will look good throughout a lifetime.
