Owen is a Seattle native. He earned his BFA in painting and printmaking at Montana State University. Shortly after graduation, he returned to Seattle and opened Parlor F.
He was a founding member and operator of the Pound Gallery. Owen is part of the permanent collection at the Smithsonian, has received an award from Print Magazine for design excellence, been featured on the front page of the Scene Section in the Seattle Times and his artwork has appeared on multiple covers of the Stranger. He has shown his art in galleries such as Roq La Rue, The Seattle Art Museum, Center for Contemporary Art and has received numerous grants from the King County Arts Commission. Owen has been a guest artist at the Museum of Glass in Tacoma and a visiting artist at the Toyama Institute of Glass Art in Toyama, Japan. He has contributed to the local music scene by creating graphics for album covers and posters for a number of bands.
